Franciacorta is one of the most important Italian sparkling wine areas: it extends between Lake Iseo and Brescia and some of the best bubbles in Italy are born here. Franciacorta wines are produced from Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Bianco and Erbamat, an ancient vine from Brescia, and as required by the regulations, the only production system is the Classic Method , here called the Franciacorta Method. Franciacorta DOCG sparkling wines stand out for their elegance and freshness, and are increasingly appreciated by both enthusiasts and critics, not only Italian ones.
