Robert and Derek's activity began a few years ago after they met in Australia during the 2016 harvest. Robert is Jannina Schmitt's husband, when he settled in Moselle he found some century-old vineyards abandoned because they were too difficult to cultivate. That's how he thought of involving his friend Derek and starting a new adventure. Wines free from chemicals in the vineyard but also free in their interpretation in the cellar. Obtained from spontaneous fermentations and left to decant slowly. The grapes available come from the steep terraces of the Mittel Mosel on slate soil. However, it is not just Riesling but also Muller Thurgau, Kerner and Pinot Noir. The blend becomes for Rob and Derek a way to express themselves beyond the terroir that is given as a necessary basis. The result is extremely engaging from a sensorial point of view, they are certainly wines that express the idea of freedom and independence. The name is dedicated to the lady who owned the first plot of land they purchased in Moselle: Madame Flöck.
