Claus Preisinger

In the heart of Burgenland, on the shores of Lake Neusiedl, Claus Preisinger represents one of the most authentic and innovative voices in Austrian wine. Born in 1980 and raised among the vineyards, after formative experiences in California and with Hans Nittnaus, he founded his company in 2000, starting with just 3 hectares and now cultivating approximately 19 hectares under Demeter certified biodynamic farming.

His philosophy is based on absolute respect for nature and a minimalist approach in the cellar: spontaneous fermentations, no fining or filtration, reduced use of sulfur dioxide, and vinification in amphorae and concrete vats. The vineyards, located between Pannobile and Leithaberg, host indigenous grape varieties such as Blaufränkisch, Zweigelt, and St. Laurent, as well as international varieties reinterpreted with a personal style, such as Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.

Claus Preisinger's wines are recognizable for their vibrant energy, fruit purity, and mineral finesse. Each bottle is a direct reflection of the territory and the winemaker's sensibility, who manages to blend modernity and tradition into a unique vision of natural Austrian wine.
