The Roman House

La Maison Romane is a Burgundian micro-maison founded by Oronce de Beler (born 1978), an eclectic and passionate figure who, after years in Paris, chose to settle first in Vosne-Romanée and then, from 2014, in Nuits-Saint-Georges, in the heart of the Côte d’Or.

Oronce is not a traditional winemaker: he does not own his own vineyards, but embodies the rare and precious figure of the négociant-artisan, capable of selecting the best grapes from his trusted growers year after year. His strength lies in stable, trusting relationships with the winegrowers, who work prestigious parcels using organic or biodynamic farming practices, on living and respected soils.

Since 2005, the year of his first vintage, Oronce personally oversees every stage, from the vineyard to the bottle. The harvest is strictly manual, ensuring the highest quality of the fruit. Simplicity reigns in the cellar: spontaneous fermentations, minimal interventions, and slow aging of at least twelve months in wooden barrels, stored in the home cellars.

The result are wines of extraordinary authenticity, capable of combining freshness, finesse, and depth, true interpreters of the essence of Burgundy. Each bottle of La Maison Romane reflects the precision, sensitivity, and artisanal soul of Oronce de Beler.
