Minnella was discovered in the oldest vineyards of Etna. Its name comes from the word “minna”, a dialect term that indicates breast, because the oblong shape of the grape resembles a woman's breast.
Today it is one of the vines that finds its ideal soil on Etna.
Don Pippinu Bianco is obtained from Carricante, Catarratto, Minnella and Grecanico grapes grown at 650 m on untreated soil. The vines are 80 to 100 years old with ungrafted roots....
