Sarnin-Berrux

Sarnin-Berrux is a Burgundy micro-négociant based in Saint-Romain, in the Côte de Beaune, founded in 2007 by Jean-Pascal Sarnin and Guillaume Berrux. From the beginning, their choice has been counter-current to the dominant production logics: no owned vineyards, but the selection of grapes coming from organic or biodynamic vineyards cultivated by small winemakers in different areas of Burgundy, from the Côte de Beaune to the Côte de Nuits up to the Mâconnais.

The work in the cellar follows a natural and non-interventionist philosophy: spontaneous fermentations with indigenous yeasts, no fining or filtering, limited or no use of sulfur, slow aging in neutral wood or steel to fully respect the integrity of the fruit and the identity of the terroir.

The Sarnin-Berrux range spans from the most immediate and joyful wines to cuvées of great complexity and aging potential, always with a common denominator: cleanliness, precision, and authenticity. Each bottle is produced in very limited quantities, with an almost maniacal attention to quality, making these wines true gems for enthusiasts and collectors.

Jean-Pascal and Guillaume believe that wine should be a sincere reflection of nature and the vintage, without oenological make-up. The result is a production that tells of a lively, vibrant, and free Burgundy, capable of exciting from the very first sip.
