Vanni Nizzoli and his family manage the land and vineyards of the farm, located in the first hills at the foot of the Reggio Emilia Apennines, where tradition has been handed down for more than 200 years. Since 1980 the company has taken its name from the main plot, Cinque Campi: the wine was initially sold only in demijohns and only in 2003 was the “organic” management formalized, although it has always been practiced. In 2005 the work of recovering and replanting native vines began, resulting in original and high-quality products. The use of organic methods in the cultivation of the vine and all other company production is dictated by the deep conviction that the natural balance must not be affected or modified. Every single living being present on the leaves, on the shoots, in the earth is part of the natural balance of the territory, balance and originality that is then found in the wines.
