Daniele Piccinin
In the hills of San Giovanni Ilarione, in the heart of Lessinia in Verona, Daniele Piccinin has built one of the most recognizable realities in the Italian artisanal landscape. He fell in love with viticulture to the point of transforming it into his life, recovering abandoned vineyards and founding his farm in the early 2000s.
Piccinin's philosophy is simple and radical: absolute respect for the vineyard and the territory. The plots, located at an altitude of over 400 meters, are cultivated without the use of chemicals, prioritizing biodiversity and the natural balance of the soil.
In the cellar, the same consistency continues: spontaneous fermentations with indigenous yeasts, vinification without fining or filtration, slow aging in wooden or cement barrels. The wines are thus frank, deep, and vibrant, capable of purely expressing the identity of Lessinia.
Daniele Piccinin's work is particularly linked to the recovery of the Durella grape variety, native to the Veronese hills and almost forgotten, which here finds new life in fresh, mineral, and highly characteristic expressions. Alongside it, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and other varieties interpreted with an artisanal touch complete a range that has won over enthusiasts in Italy and abroad.
Today, Piccinin's wines are considered an essential voice for those seeking authenticity, precision, and unconventional elegance.
