BETWEEN SAYING AND DOING THERE IS THE EXTINGUISHED VOLCANO OF ROCCAMONFINA

Masseria Starnali is located in Galluccio, about 450 meters, on the slopes of the extinct volcano of Roccamonfina. Here Mrs. Maria Teresa and her son Luigi dedicate themselves to the cultivation of olive trees, vines and chestnuts of their company, which extends for about 40 hectares including woodland, which enjoys the belvedere on the Gulf of Gaeta.
We are right on the border between Lazio and Campania, here where the land is suited for the production of Aglianico, grown on the farm since its foundation in 1965. The vinification for the actual production of wine began only in 2006, before that the grapes were mostly sold. Since 2009 they have switched to organic farming. An important characteristic is the volcanic soil of their hills, with a good presence of sulphur that often marks the aromas and taste of their wines.
