Andreas Gsellmann

The Andreas Gsellmann company is located in Gols in Burgenland south of Vienna in Austria.
An area of great winemaking vocation near the Neusidlersee, a vast lake that acts as a thermal balancer for those lands. The soils are compact sandy and partly pebbly, but still capable of retaining water. There is evidence of the company's existence in a family document dating back to 1800. Passed down from father to son, today it is up to Andreas to interpret these places. A very attentive and meticulous, sensitive person, after studying in Bordeaux he returns home to carry on his mission. Biodynamics is an intimate need for him, his attitude in the countryside and in the cellar is dictated by the energy he feels inside himself. "I couldn't do otherwise" he confesses to us. The company is made up of 18 hectares from which approximately 100,000 bottles are obtained. All the wines are characterized by great freshness and drinkability. The Blaufrankish in particular struck us for its depth and expressiveness. Many varieties are grown in relation to the vocation of the land.
