Antoine Isenbrandt, Athénaïs’s partner at Château de Béru in Chablis, has created a new project that intertwines art, culture and wine, with deep roots in his homeland. Born in Marseillan, in the south of France, Antoine has inherited the spirit of discovery that belongs to those who grow up facing the sea.
In his family's wine estate, he founded Mare Nostrum Vini , a business that carefully selects grapes from vineyards located along the Mediterranean coast. This wine journey starts from his homeland to embrace the coasts of southern France, Spain, Italy, Slovenia and Greece, with the ambition of exploring new destinations such as Turkey, Cyprus, Menorca or Morocco in the future.
The project is linked to a single thread: the wind. Each wine is named after the predominant wind in its area of origin, a crucial element for both navigation and viticulture. The wind dries out humidity, prevents diseases in hot seasons and promotes temperature changes, essential for the ripening of grapes. In addition, its saline influence and its dialogue with the vegetation and soil contribute to the quality and unique character of each wine.
The labels, inspired by the changing colors of the sea, capture the reflections and shades of the Mediterranean waters at different times of the day, evoking the harmony between nature, traditions and maritime culture that Antoine wants to tell through his project.
