Manzoni Crossroads

Incrocio Manzoni or Manzoni Bianco is a vine developed in the 1930s by Prof. Luigi Manzoni, at the School of Viticulture and Oenology in Conegliano. In those years, a series of vine diseases fueled a deep crisis for viticulture throughout Europe. Precisely for this reason, starting from the early 1900s, there was great interest in the genetic improvement of vines through crossing and hybridization. This is how, for example, the most famous Muller Thurgau was born.
