Klabjan is a producer with a strong history and tradition located in the Ops valley on the border between northern Istria and the Carso. The vineyard area extends for 10 hectares arranged in white soil, clay and flysch, in a well-ventilated area. The production is led by Uros Klabjan, a figure of great experience, with more than 20 harvests behind him. Uros, with an oenological education but does not identify with the "technicalism" linked to conventional wine production. The production philosophy consists of clean agriculture, characterized by non-interventionist practices; in the cellar long macerations, spontaneous fermentations and almost no addition of sulphites. Its bottles with black labels are those with wine coming from vines older than half a century, while the white ones are dedicated to the younger ones.
