MY DREAM IS TO MAKE A WINE THAT WHILE TASTING IT TALKS ABOUT ITS TERRITORY
Angiolino Maule and his family tend their land (18 hectares) on the hills of Gambellara, between the provinces of Vicenza and Verona, on the last volcanic slopes of the Lessini Mountains. The search for quality and naturalness have distinguished the work in the vineyard and in the cellar since 1988, the first bottling year. This has meant a constant non-interventionist approach in the vineyard until arriving at the practice of biodynamics and new ways: with the collaboration of various researchers, for new approaches to cultivation that aim to eliminate copper and sulfur, as well as pesticides and herbicides. This is to be able to have healthy grapes, rich in nutrients and yeasts and that reach a good maturation, which finally allows to maintain the same philosophy also in the winemaking: a great grape does not need either embellishments or corrections.
