Quintia
Family-run company on the Euganean Hills. Franco, his wife Fabrizia and their son Matteo, manage their 5 hectares of vineyards using organic farming on marly-clayey and trachytic volcanic soils. The project was founded in 1999 with Franco Sinigaglia who runs the company together with his wife Fabrizia and son Matteo. We are in Fontanafredda di Cinto Euganeo, in the south of the province of Padua, at an altitude of about 180 meters above sea level, within the Veneto Regional Park. The vines, which are up to 40 years old, have been managed using certified organic farming since 2015. The company has always maintained a sustainable approach, thanks to the exclusive use of low quantities of copper and sulfur. All interventions in the vineyard are manual, despite the typical slopes of the area. The vineyards are characterized by low yields per hectare and the selection is carried out directly on the plant. The resulting wines are strongly influenced by the terroir, they are therefore vertical, fresh, tense and agile wines that derive from the volcanic soils with a marly-limestone texture and the ventilated microclimate characteristic of the Euganean Hills.
