Savagnin is a native grape variety similar to aromatic traminer that seems to have arrived in the area in ancient times from Austria-Hungary and that today, with its 300 hectares of vineyards, represents about 15% of the total vineyards of the Jura. Savagnin is the grape mainly used for the production of Vin Jaune.
