Arianna Occhipinti
Arianna Occhipinti is now considered one of the most significant and influential figures in natural wine in Italy. Born in Vittoria, in southeastern Sicily, she began her journey in the wine world at a very young age, driven by the desire to tell the story of her land with sincerity and sensitivity. After graduating in enology in Milan, she returned to the landscapes of the Hyblaean Mountains to found her winery, choosing to work with full respect for the environment and natural cycles.
In the vineyards, cultivated organically and biodynamically, sand, limestone, and the Mediterranean wind coexist: elements that give the wines a unique tension and a refined aromatic profile. No herbicides, no synthetic chemicals, spontaneous fermentations with indigenous yeasts, and minimal intervention in the cellar: everything is designed to preserve the vitality of the fruit and the authentic voice of the territory.
The emblematic grape varieties of her production are Frappato and Nero d’Avola, interpreted in a contemporary and pure key. Labels like SP68 Rosso, SP68 Bianco, Il Frappato, and Grotte Alte represent today an absolute reference for the Vittoria DOC, a territory that, thanks to her, has regained visibility and identity in the international landscape.
Arianna Occhipinti's wines are vibrant, lively, elegant, and never standardized: bottles that speak of Sicily with a clear and personal voice, embodying the essence of artisan and natural wine.
