Joseph Cortese

The Cortese family has been cultivating vines for three generations, but it was only in 1971 that they began to vinify their own grapes. Among the varieties of Nebbiolo, Dolcetto and Barbera, Barbaresco certainly stands out, which, from the top of the hill of what can be considered a grand cru if we look at it in the French way, gives rise to Rabajà, which in particular in the reserve version undoubtedly becomes the flagship label of the winery. In the lands of Langa, the quality of Dolcetto and Barbera also remains very high. All this is undoubtedly thanks to Giuseppe Cortese and his wife Rossella who, helped by the young Pier Carlo and Tiziana, manage and make this magnificent winery prosper.

The eight hectares of vineyards owned by the company produce wines that have now achieved international fame and success, and above all, it is in this way that, with determination and passion, Giuseppe Cortese's winery has established itself as one of the best interpreters of Barbaresco, a wine that now rightfully ranks among the most important and prestigious denominations in the world.
