Garda Chiaretto
The invention of Chiaretto can be traced back to an idea by Pompeo Gherardo Momenti , who wanted to produce a bright pink wine, inspired by renowned French wines. In his villa in Moniga del Garda he selected the grapes and left them to ripen in the attic, after which he pressed them and promptly removed them from the marc, practicing a white fermentation. Giosuè Carducci was among the first guests of Molmenti who could taste his new creation
