Philippi
The history of the Filippi winery began in 1992, when Filippo Filippi inherited a portion of the vineyards on the Castelcerino hill, in the Soave production area, starting a production of very typical and territorial white wines. Filippo Filippi manages the work alone both in the vineyard and in the cellar, proving to be an unconventional, brilliant and very competent winemaker. Organic practices in the vineyard, respect for the environment, great attention to the health of the plants, recovery and enhancement of the older vines and spontaneous vinification are the constants of his work. The goal is to enhance and express the potential of the terroir to the maximum by exploiting the richness and geomorphic diversity of the soils. The vineyards of the Filippi winery extend on the Castelcerino hill between 300 and 400 meters above sea level, surrounded by woods and caressed by constant ventilation. The Soave wines that are born here reveal aromatic richness and depth. These are wines with great personality, never banal or predictable, which require a few moments of oxygenation to express themselves in a language characterised by good freshness and great minerality.
