In the heart of the Jura, in Arbois, the Domaine de La Touraize has its roots in eight generations of winemakers. The history of the Morin family begins in 1704, when André-Jean's great-great-grandfather, Etienne Morin, was already a winemaker. The vineyards of the Domaine de La Touraize are located on the historic terroirs of Arbois, including Les Corvées, Curoulet, Sur la Côte and La Touraize. These lands are planted with the five typical grape varieties of the area: Poulsard, Trousseau, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Savagnin, which give life to wines rich in personality and depth. For André-Jean, a good wine is born first and foremost in the field. It is with this philosophy that he takes care of his vines, monitoring them with attention and respect. The slow and regular fermentations take place mainly in steel, to maintain the freshness and finesse of the wines. Each typology completes its refinement in oak, cement or even amphora containers, depending on the characteristics that you want to enhance. The wines of Domaine de La Touraize are distinguished by their drinkability and finesse, but they are also strongly defined by the territory that generated them.
