ORGANIC AS AN OBVIOUS CHOICE, DICTED BY OUR FARMING HISTORY
The farm has belonged to the Oberto family for at least three centuries in the municipality of La Morra. In 1985, the brothers Severino and Andrea decided to continue the family work by founding Erbaluna, with the desire, from the very beginning, to convert the vineyards to organic methods. They were therefore pioneers, in Langa, of organic. For some years, Andrea has managed alone, with his wife, the almost 10 hectares of property, on the soft hills in the heart of the Langhe, where the land is made up of calcareous marl, mainly clayey, with some layers of sandstone. In the cellar, stainless steel tanks and large oak barrels, technology and tradition coexist to produce wines of great structure and class, such as Barolo, but also simpler drinking wines, such as Dolcetto.
