PRODUCTION PHILOSOPHY: MADE AS IN THE PAST WITH ARTISAN METHODS
Le quattro volte is a small winery that has its roots in a land of living and uncontaminated nature: Calabria. For a long time the rear light of Italian wine, in recent years this region has established itself in the national wine scene for an unprecedented qualitative rebirth. In 1998, Pasquale Perugini's agricultural company obtained the much sought-after organic certification, a value that Masseria Perugini strongly believes in, considering it a tool to sensitize the end consumer to environmental responsibility and sustainable development. Starting in 2015, the company reinvented itself, with a new, younger and livelier management, which transformed Le Quattro Volte into a farm and focused on wine production to enhance the native Malvasia, Mantonico Pinto and Magliocco vines. In the vineyards of Le Quattro Volte, no synthetic chemicals or insecticides are used and the harvest is done manually. In the cellar, the vinification starts from spontaneous fermentations with indigenous yeasts, neither filtration nor clarification are carried out and the possible addition of sulphites depends on the vintage, but always remains below 30 mg/litre.
