Born among the vineyards of my grandparents, Antonio the grape supplier and Guerrino the winemaker, I developed the dream of having a farm at the age of 15. It was 1995: every day I returned home from the agricultural school of Bassano del Grappa by bus, I looked at my landscapes from the window and dreamed, I played with my imagination. As I grew up I learned about the world and little by little I understood which side I was on. And that's how my dream took shape. In January 2012 I opened my company with the help and constant support of my father Gianfranco and mother Graziella. I immediately realized that the conventional way of doing viticulture was not my style: both in terms of cultivation and winemaking, and in terms of the choice of vines to grow. I was lucky enough to take over the management of a very old vineyard composed of native vines and I started the "Rarefratte" project. I inform myself, listen to the stories of the old farmers of Breganze and begin the recovery of the ancient varieties of vines cultivated in the territory of Alto Vicentino. I discover that some of these are at risk of extinction and with them also ancient tastes and aromas risk disappearing. With a lot of patience and a careful look I wander through vegetable gardens, gardens and small rows to select the varieties; propagate them and create vineyards. In the meantime I begin micro vinifications in purity of these varieties to understand their characteristics. I travel around Italy, France and Spain to visit the most varied wine-growing areas that enrich me with ideas and intuitions. In 2018 the construction of the cellar arrives through the restoration of a shelter for agricultural machinery and tools and, finally, we start with the first wines.
