Marsanne

Marsanne is a white grape variety native to the Northern Rhône Valley, where it finds its fullest expression in the Hermitage, Crozes-Hermitage, and Saint-Joseph territories. It is often vinified as a single varietal or blended with Roussanne, yielding wines of great structure, balance, and longevity.

Wines made from Marsanne are distinguished by their intense golden yellow color and an aromatic profile that combines pear, yellow apple, white flowers, and almond, with elegant honey and mineral notes that develop with aging. On the palate, they are soft, round, and enveloping, with moderate acidity but excellent aging potential, capable of evolving towards nuances of hazelnut and dried fruit.

Today, in addition to the Rhône, Marsanne is also cultivated in Switzerland, Australia, and California, where it offers modern interpretations that are always recognizable for their intensity and richness.
