Marthe Henry is a winemaker who lives in Meursault, at the gates of the “Cote des blancs”, where Chardonnay is native. Granddaughter of Pierre Boillot, a rather famous producer in the area, Marthe has a past as a journalist in Paris. The bond with her grandfather has always been strong and with it the passion for wine so much so that, at a certain point in her life, she decides to leave the French capital to return to her country of origin.
It was 2013, after some brief experiences in companies in the area, he settled down to work in the vineyard and in the cellar in Meursault at Domaine Rougeot. Since 2017 he has started his activity as a negociant, buying grapes from various plots and also dedicating himself to the agricultural part. His is a philosophy that bans the use of chemicals in the countryside and his wines are born from a very close contact with the soil they belong to.
Marthe knows what she wants and shows that she knows the vineyards she manages well, interpreting them in an authentic and elegant way. Her wines travel on an almost ethereal and very refined dimension. A very careful, meticulous winemaking, attentive to every detail. The resulting wines are endowed with great elegance and depth, they are wines that do not betray and that return a Burgundy of great value.
