Château Béru is located south of Paris, in the heart of Chablis, a land perfect for growing Chardonnay, the climate and history are witness to this. The Béru family has owned the historic domain of the Béru castle for 400 years, precisely since 1627. Today Èric has sadly passed away and since 2006 he has left the helm to his daughter Athénaïs who, together with Antoine, manage the Château and its 15 hectares of vineyards. With great attention they are committed to working the land and the vine in a respectful way, adopting the principles of organic and biodynamic agriculture, with Ecocert certification for organic and Demeter for biodynamic. Theirs is a choice in continuous evolution and research, also in the collaboration with some very faithful local growers (called négoce), from which they obtain healthy grapes and truly interesting wines, children of the wisdom that has been able to achieve in these years in the cellar: all the grapes are hand-picked, spontaneous fermentation with natural yeasts, without chemicals, and no added sugar or filtration. The results are precise and balanced, rich in flavor, deep and incisive: a piece of Chablis history that well testifies to the terroir of origin.
