Renaud Boyer grew up in the Côte de Beaune of the famous Chardonnay aged in barriques and today represents one of the greatest flags of natural winemaking. He studied with artisans of the caliber of Pierre Overnoy in Jura, Patrick Meyer in Alsace and Philippe Jambon in Beaujolais. His adventure began in 2004, when he accepted the offer of his uncle Thierry Guyot and rented the vineyards located in Saint-Romain, cultivated according to organic and biodynamic principles since 1986. Renaud Boyer's vineyards extend over a total area of about 3 hectares, a small reality carved out within the vast family estates, with parcels scattered between the villages of Meursault, where the winery is located, Puligny-Montrachet, Saint-Romain and around Beaune. In this southern part of the Côte d'Or his properties are equally divided between Chardonnay and Pinot Noir: some vines are very old, with vines that are over 80 years old, and all are managed in the most natural way possible. Renaud Boyer creates extremely pure wines, perfect reflections of the terroir and the vintage.
