Alex Foillard

Alex Foillard is the son of Jean Foillard, a well-known and appreciated winemaker, as well as a leading producer in Beaujolais. After studying oenology and gaining experience at Prieuré Roch, Alex purchased just over 2 hectares in the terroir of Brouilly and the Côte de Brouilly in 2016. Following in his father's footsteps, he converted the vineyards to organic farming and carried out meticulous work both in the vineyard and in the cellar. The winemaking process follows the traditional Beaujolais method, with carbonic maceration lasting from 10 days to 3 weeks, and the wines are neither filtered nor clarified. Production currently stands at 12,000 bottles per year and Alex is enjoying increasing success with his reds.
