Roc Breïa
Roc Breïa is the project of Théo Dancer, a restless and visionary Burgundian winemaker, always searching for a purer idea of wine. After his experience at the historic family estate in Chassagne-Montrachet and his unconventional négociant wines, Théo chose the Mâconnais to create something entirely his own.
In Bray, north of Mâcon, a 10-hectare vineyard was born, with 7 hectares of Pinot Noir and 3 hectares of Chardonnay, planted on clay, limestone, and silt soils. These are diverse, complex soils that Théo first had to regenerate after years of conventional viticulture. Here, the work is about respecting natural cycles, observation, and patience. No shortcuts.
The name Breïa, of Celtic origin, speaks to the deep connection with nature that guides every choice. The wines are Vin de France because Théo rejects the rigid rules of appellations to remain free to follow only his vision. This is how 100% natural, distinctive, vibrant, ever-changing, and always sincere Pinot Noir and Chardonnay wines are born.
Roc Breïa is not an exercise in style. It is an act of freedom. And you can taste it in every sip.
