Marco Pezzuto
Marco Pezzuto is one of the emerging young talents of Roero, a winemaker who chose to take his first steps with humility, precision, and a very clear vision: to make honest, clean wines deeply connected to the sandy hills he calls home.
His story began far from the spotlight. Marco started as a beekeeper, a profession that taught him sensitivity, patience, and a direct relationship with the balance of nature.
Shortly after, the turning point: working in the vineyards and in the cellar alongside his friend Federico of Giovanni Almondo, he discovered a world that fascinated and belonged to him. The harvest, the aromas of fermentation, the rhythm of the seasons: everything became inevitable.
In 2018, he leased his first parcel, where between 2018 and 2019 he planted his vines. In subsequent years, he added small plots, building an agricultural mosaic that grew with him, step by step. In 2021, his first Langhe Nebbiolo was born, a wine that surprised with its elegance, verticality, and delicacy, far from clichés and close to the truth of the Roero soils. Soon, Arneis and Rosato will also arrive, new pieces of a project in full bloom.
Marco's work has a distinctive trait: it is authentic. No forcing, no excess, just young vineyards learning to speak and a winemaker who listens to them. His wines are clear, essential, and luminous, just like his idea of winemaking.
Marco Pezzuto is a promise that is already becoming a reality. A story that smells of the future.
