Pfulben Grand Cru Kaefferkopf 2019 Geschickt
Pfulben means "scarab's head" in Alsatian, a sacred animal and good luck charm that symbolized resurrection in ancient Egypt. An evocative name for an equally unique wine, made from grapes grown on the prestigious granite terroir of Grand Cru Kaefferkopf.
A seductive Alsatian blend composed of Gewurztraminer (60%), Riesling (30%) and Pinot Gris (10%). The result is a still white wine of great character, soft and juicy, which envelops the palate with its aromatic richness.
On the nose, a range of warm and sunny aromas unfolds: sun-warmed citrus fruits, apple jam and cinnamon, ripe exotic fruit, with delicate hints of chamomile and linden. In the mouth, the texture is velvety, the savoriness is present, the sip is enveloping and full. A wine that can be contemplative and poetic, capable of telling the story of the territory and Geschickt's natural philosophy through every sip.
