The Cascina Fontana farm is located in the heart of the Barolo area, in Perno, a small hamlet in the municipality of Monforte d'Alba, about 15 kilometers from the city of Alba. The Fontana family boasts a tradition of growing vines and producing wine that has lasted for six generations. Today Mario Fontana, with the help of an internal work group within the company, continues this tradition, supervising the entire production cycle, from the vineyard to the production of wine, taking care of the work in the cellar with attention and meticulousness. Mario and Luisa Fontana own 5 hectares of vineyards, suited to the cultivation of the classic Langhe vines: Nebbiolo, Dolcetto and Barbera. The vineyards are located in some of the best production areas in the municipalities of Castiglione Falletto (Valletti vineyard/cru Mariondino, Villero vineyard/cru Villero and Pozzo vineyard), La Morra (Gallinotto vineyard/cru Giachini) and Sinio (Castello vineyard).
