Castrum Roche
Castrum Roche was founded in 2021 in the hamlet of Torriglione, in the municipality of La Morra, one of the most evocative and luminous spots in the Langhe. It is here that Isacco Costamagna, thanks to the two hectares of vineyard inherited from his grandparents, decided to give shape to a personal project, essential and deeply connected to the place.
The vineyards are located on the famous Torriglione terrace, a true natural amphitheater overlooking the Rocche dell’Annunziata. Light soils, constant ventilation, and open exposures create Nebbiolos of great finesse, focusing more on grace and drinkability than on power.
In the cellar, the approach is direct and respectful: spontaneous fermentations, no selected yeasts, minimal intervention. The goal is clear from the start: elegant, smooth wines, capable of expressing the fruit and terroir without superstructures.
Currently, production is deliberately limited: about 6,000 bottles of Langhe Nebbiolo and a few hundred of Langhe Rosato, young but already well-defined wines that express a precise vision and a sensitive hand.
Castrum Roche is a new voice from La Morra that looks to the future without forgetting its roots: a small, authentic project where Nebbiolo finds space to speak with naturalness and transparency.
