It is not easy to try to physically locate the Costadilà Farm, also because there are several small vineyards on the high hills that it cultivates and that contribute to surrounding it with a slight aura of mystery. The place names Combai, Campea, Osigo, Con Alti, San Lorenzo that identify some of these plots and that lead back to the Hills of Alto Trevigiano, in the heart of the historic production area of ​​Prosecco di Conegliano and Valdobbiadene, help us a little. The undisputed protagonist, founder and soul of the company was Ernesto Cattel, who passed away prematurely, who today has entrusted his vision of the world of wine and farming, together with the management of the company - founded in 2006 - to the hands of Alex and Martina. In accordance with Ernesto's inspiring principles, Costadilà produces following the agricultural techniques of the organic method, with the purely manual interventions of a viticulture that respects the territory and the environment, and works in the cellar according to tradition, with the sole help of the indigenous yeasts of its grapes. The wines are the fruit of the maceration of native white grapes, mainly Glera, Bianchetta Trevigiana and Verdiso. The refermentation of Costadilà wines takes place only in the bottle. The 280 slm, 330 slm and 450 slm wines are those that best represent this philosophy and this style, where the hand of the winemaker accompanies the fruit of the vine in its natural growth path. Their names derive from the altitudes of the vineyards of origin. The company's activity is inspired by the recovery of the traditional closed-cycle agricultural farm; future projects include, in addition to the cattle breeding already in place, the introduction of sheep, goats and pigs, even in the wild.
