Domaine Ghislaine Barthod is considered one of the reference names in Chambolle-Musigny, renowned for the excellent quality of its wines. The cellar structure is shared with Domaine Louis Boillot, although the two entities operate independently in both winemaking and production management. Even in the vineyard, the two properties collaborate, sharing the same work team, under the supervision of Louis Boillot, Ghislaine Barthod's husband.

Agronomic management follows the principles of lutte raisonnée , avoiding ideological extremism. This choice is dictated by the fragmentation of the owned parcels, often surrounded by lands of other producers, which makes it difficult to guarantee the requirements to obtain a biodynamic or organic certification, due to the risk of external contamination.

Agricultural practices include plowing and careful pruning. During the summer, green harvesting and leaf removal are carried out on the north side of the vines. The harvest is followed by careful vinification: the bunches are usually destemmed, and fermentations, activated exclusively by indigenous yeasts, take place in steel tanks.

For the aging, which lasts 18 months, barriques with variable percentages of new wood are used: 20% for the Bourgogne Rouge, 25% for the Chambolle-Musigny AOC and 30% for the premier crus. Neither clarification nor filtration is performed. The resulting wines embody a traditional approach, focusing on finesse and elegance, distinctive characteristics of the Chambolle-Musigny terroir.
