Mélanie Pfister is one of the most talented young winemakers in Alsace and, since taking over the winery from her father André in 2008, has consistently raised the bar of quality of the Domaine's wines . The winery and vineyards are in Dahlenheim, the far north of the region, where the soil is predominantly calcareous. After studying oenology in Bordeaux and Dijon, Mélanie has put together a wealth of experience of absolute value: Zind-Humbrecht, Méo Camuzet, Château Cheval Blanc, Château d'Yquem and others. The vineyards are currently being certified and will be organic from the 2021 vintage. The wines have a dry, elegant, "food friendly" imprint and release great energy. The recent experiments with a Gewurztraminer and a Pinot Grigio for maceration are curious; both Cremant d'Alsace are fine and elegant .
