WE DO NOT HAVE A FAMOUS WINE MAKER, BUT ONLY A FRIEND WHO GIVES US WELL ADVICE

Filippo and his wife Nancy began their adventure in the world of wine and olives in 2000 and created Lamoresca, located in the Sicilian hinterland of the municipality of San Michele Ganzaria, and year after year they have increasingly increased their land which today counts 10 hectares. Lamoresca is located at 430 m, in a typically Mediterranean climate, dry and hot in summer with little rain. 5 different types of wine are produced using typical local vines such as Nerello Mascalese, Frappato, Nero d'Avola and for the whites we find Vermentino and a little Moscato. In the countryside we work in a natural way: the weeds are uprooted with a hoe and to nitrogenize the soil we use legumes. The must ferments freely without temperature control in open vats without adding sulfur dioxide and selected yeasts. Long macerations are practiced on the skins, both on the reds and on the whites.
