Elisa is an artisan winemaker in the land of Romagna Sangiovese. She produces wine together with her mother Marta, in Castrocaro Terme. Castrocaro Terme and Terra del Sole (Castruchèira or Castruchêra and Tèra de Sòl in the Romagnolo dialect) are two ancient medieval villages in the province of Forlì-Cesena in the so-called Romagna Toscana and our vineyards are located 250 to 350 meters above sea level on the Bagnolo hill on both sides of the hill, bordered by gullies and blue clay to the north and fine yellow sand and chalk to the south. They were not winemakers, they became so over time by taking care of the land day after day that was the dream of my father Delio to whom I dedicated our first white wine. The Marta Valpiani brand today identifies a philosophy of life dedicated to the maternal care of our land, made of meticulous management in the vineyard and in the cellar.
