Le Strie's Nebbiolo "Sassifraga" is a sincere snapshot of Valtellina. The name recalls the flower that grows among the rocks of the alpine terraces, and just like that flower, this wine is born from a harsh yet bright territory.
It is a young, fresh, and direct Nebbiolo, designed for conviviality. The grapes, predominantly Nebbiolo with small percentages of local varieties, come from the Sassella and Valgella subzones. It ferments and ages in steel to preserve its purity and freshness, maintaining the vitality of the fruit.
In the glass, it is brilliant ruby, with aromas of cherry, mountain herbs, and light notes of undergrowth. The sip is juicy, fresh, with fine tannins and a mineral finish. An honest, territorial red that invites you to drink more.
