The Nuits-Saint-Georges Premier Cru Chaines Carteaux is one of the great Pinot Noirs from La Maison Romane, born from the artisanal sensitivity of Oronce de Beler. The grapes come from one of the most prestigious plots in Nuits-Saint-Georges, characterized by calcareous and clayey soils that provide structure, energy, and depth.
The winemaking follows a non-interventionist approach: spontaneous fermentations with indigenous yeasts, aging in used wood, and no technical manipulation, thus preserving the purity of the fruit and the identity of the terroir.
The result is a red of great balance, combining the typical power of Nuits-Saint-Georges with the floral and spicy finesse that distinguishes Oronce de Beler's style.
