Don Carlino - Pecorino D'Abruzzo DOC 2024 De Fermo
The Don Carlino bears a name that tells a personal story. It is dedicated to Stefano's uncle Carlo, affectionately called Carlino by the family: a lawyer and politician by profession, he had an boundless passion for French wine, which he passed on to his nephew like an invisible legacy. Today, that name is on a bottle of 100% Pecorino, one of Abruzzo's most noble grape varieties, cultivated without any chemical shortcuts on clay and limestone soils at an altitude of 290 meters in Loreto Aprutino. An electric, vertical, and visceral white wine that gazes at the distant Adriatic Sea and carries its salinity in the finish.
