Cuvée XIII Carignan 2022 Ugo Lestelle
Cuvée XIII is a red wine born from the blend of Carignan and Grenache grapes from old vines on silty-clay soils, in the heart of Languedoc. Ugo Lestelle vinifies it with carbonic maceration for eight weeks, then ages it for over a year in used barriques, without fining or filtration and with minimal use of sulfites. The result is an intense and vibrant wine, with a fruity and spicy profile, smooth tannins, and a persistent, mineral finish. On the nose, cherry, undergrowth, and herbaceous notes emerge. On the palate, it is dynamic and juicy, yet profound. A wine that combines the rusticity of the terroir with the artisanal sensitivity of an unconventional winemaker.
