Cafone - Colli Aprutini Red IGT 2023 Podere San Biagio
Montepulciano d'Abruzzo with 10 days of maceration on the skins, vinified and aged in steel tanks. It is released onto the market eighteen months after the harvest, the time needed for the tannins and acidity to find the right balance and soften.
This is the most approachable and drinkable version of Montepulciano according to Jacopo's vision: limited maceration, only steel to preserve the freshness of the fruit, harvest at optimal ripeness without overdoing it. The goal is a wine that is enjoyable to drink, but without compromising on quality.
It is not a light or trivial wine: even in this more immediate version, there is body, structure, and personality. An authentic Montepulciano that can be convivial without losing substance.
