The Garlider winery is located in Velturno, just above Chiusa, in the heart of the Isarco Valley in Alto Adige. It is now run by the young winemaker Christian Kerschbaumer, together with his parents, wife and children. The vineyard area is about 4 hectares, planted with Grüner Veltliner, Sylvaner, Pinot Grigio, Müller Thurgau, Gewürztraminer for the white grape varieties and Pinot Nero as a red grape variety. The vineyards have been managed entirely organically since 1999. The plots are located between 540 and 800 meters above sea level, with slopes of up to 55% and a south-east exposure. The winery is part of the Alto Adige Winegrowers Association.
