Cristiano began his career as a winemaker in 2004, acquiring his grandfather's vineyards and farm, the starting point for the nascent company, with old Primitivo bush vines. We are in Gioia del Colle, in the Murgia barese, at over 400 meters above sea level: a cooler Puglia compared to the torrid Salento, where the wines come out fresher and more elegant, thanks also to the high temperature range in the crucial weeks of maturation and the calcareous and lean soil, of karst origin. Cristiano immediately embraced the natural wine movement, becoming one of the most symbolic and representative producers of his region. Intransigent both in the vineyard and in the cellar, with very few treatments with copper and sulfur, aided by biodynamics, grassing in the vineyard and maintaining the earth-micro-fauna system in synergy and no type of intervention, not even with sulfur, in the cellar. The container he uses most is the amphora. The vines he works with are Verdeca and Trebbiano as whites; Primitivo, Negroamaro and Susumaniello as reds. They are authentic, true wines and always belonging to the vintage.
