Arnaud Greiner cultivates just under a hectare of old vines planted on six plots around his home in Liesle. The micro-plots are planted with a heady mix of Chardonnay, Savagnin, Melon à Queue Rouge, Ploussard, Pinot Noir, Trousseau, Gamay and ancient varieties. Arnaud’s day job is to work alongside Etienne Thiebaud of Domaine des Cavarodes and, just like his mentor, it goes without saying that Arnaud works with great respect for nature in the vineyards. Tending them on horseback and by hand, he works organically and with real sensitivity. Arnaud is one of the most talented young vignerons in the Jura. Built on a backbone of pristine fruit, his wines are unusually pure, displaying subtle elegance and delicate concentration.
