Sgarzella - Sparkling White 2023 Podere San Biagio

This artisanal sparkling wine is made primarily from Passerina (95%), with a small addition of Moscato Giallo to add aromatic finesse. The secondary fermentation occurs through refermentation in the bottle with must from the same vintage, without filtration or additives, fully respecting the raw material.

The name comes from a sub-zone of the district where the vineyards are located. Jacopo recounts that, many years ago, that area was known for the Sgarzella spring, a place where people stopped to water their animals and find refreshment, which has unfortunately disappeared today. With this wine, Jacopo likes to think he has brought that spring back to life, at least in memory, creating a sparkling wine that is fresh and thirst-quenching, yet at the same time charming and enchanting, like a siren.
