Posca Red Perpetual Wine Orsi San Vito
Posca Rossa is a wine made from Barbera and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes fermented in perpetual vats. The result of almost monthly top-ups of a perpetual tank started in 2008, it is a harmony of various vintages, with younger wine. The idea is to combine the mature characteristics of an older wine with the freshness, fruitiness, and vibrancy of young wines. Posca was a refreshing drink in ancient Rome, made by mixing water and wine, and was very popular among legionaries, farmers, and common people. It was said to give strength. The name is intended to evoke only the everyday nature of this wine and not its ancient composition. Fruity nose of blackcurrant and small red berries. On the palate, it is juicy with fresh acidity.
