Peter Pan - Merlot Veneto IGT 2021 Sauro Maule

Homage label to his second son Pietro, it is a pure Merlot harvested from a careful selection of overripe grapes. Fermentation with the skin for three weeks and then racked and left to refine in a 15 hectoliter wooden barrel. The fruit is the master, the starting material was beautiful and while tasting it the sensations are soft and pulpy, the drink is agile and fluid with notes of black cherries and blackberries and hints of blond tobacco, the vanilla part is barely hinted at and accompanies without jarring this truly successful wine.
